| The
program called for the addition of an educational wing, which includes a
fellowship hall, offices, kitchen, nursery, classrooms, and a chapel.
The chapel with its white stucco walls is flanked on one side by the two
story fellowship hall and on the other side by the two story classrooms
and offices. The chapel has direct access at the lower level from
parking while the support facility and classrooms has direct access from
the existing church at the upper level. The structure is steel beams and
columns with a bar joist and metal decking roof system. The exterior
surface is buff colored brick to match existing church and white stucco
for the chapel. Bronze colored glass was used for window openings.
Interior finished include painted gypsum wall board, oak trim, carpet,
ceramic tile and acoustical ceiling tile. An interior court yard is
formed by the connection between the educational wing and existing
building. Parking is accessible to both levels of the building to the
lower level from the back by way of two sets of stairs and to the upper
level from the west at approximately grade level.
