CFM recently completed
the design phase for a new 92,700 SF elementary school. The design of
the two-story structure features a central courtyard that attaches to
adjacent classrooms and is used for a small-children’s playground.
Large windows line the walls of the courtyard designed to fill the
interior with natural light. One of the biggest issues expressed by the
Principal and the Staff related to the safety and security of the
parking areas. CFM plans for the Staff Parking areas and the Bus
Loading/Unloading zones to be monitored by means of electronic media,
when not monitored by staff presence in these areas (i.e. morning and
evening bus loading/unloading periods).
