| The
program called for a new addition that was practical, functional and
double the size of the original building. It included a small chapel
that seats 100 people, three classrooms, a day nursery, a conference
room, a pastor’s office, business offices, a multi-purpose room, and
remodeling and renovations of other existing areas. The existing area
was an L shaped church with a green stone front. The original stone was
salvaged and recreated as a feature wall in the chapel. The existing
materials were matched to preserve the look of the original church. The
multi-purpose room is named after Joe Carter, a former All American
baseball player at Wichita State University, a professional All-Star
player for the Toronto Blue Jays, and a world series hero. The Joe
Carter Hall is used for social and education activities. The day care
center operates throughout the couple facility and it allows the church
to maximize the use of all its educational facilities on a daily basis.
