McAfee3 Architects is currently involved in the planning and design of several new projects at Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport as part of a $5 billion airport master plan. McAfee3 Architects is the architectural discipline leader for the joint venture team named Hartsfield Planning Collaborative. The projects currently underway include a major renovation of the existing Central Terminal Passenger Complex, a new International Terminal with thirteen new gates, an  addition of a fifth new runway, and a Consolidated Car Rental Facility that will accommodate almost 9000 ready/return parking spaces. In addition, the firm is also actively involved in the establishment of a comprehensive airport design standards and a complete renovation of existing restrooms and several other enabling projects.
